About

Who we are

Ummanite Foundation

Ummanite Foundation is a faith-driven, community-based organization rooted in the heart of Bumbobi Sub-County, Mbale District, Uganda. We are inspired by the noble teachings of Islam—compassion, generosity, unity, and social justice—and we strive to put these values into action every single day.

Founded to serve the needs of the vulnerable and underprivileged, Ummanite Foundation is dedicated to uplifting lives and restoring hope. Our work focuses on the most pressing challenges within our communities: poverty, illiteracy, lack of access to health care, and limited economic opportunities.

  • Charitable Giving (Zakat and Sadaqah) – Supporting orphans, widows, and the needy with basic essentials.

  • Skills Training & Livelihood Empowerment – Equipping youth and women with hands-on vocational skills to break the cycle of poverty.

  • Education Support – Sponsoring school fees, scholastic materials, and mentoring programs for underprivileged children.

  • Community Development Projects – Including access to clean water, improved sanitation, and sustainable agriculture initiatives.

At the core of everything we do is our belief that every life matters and that no one should be left behind.
